John Deere builds diesel engines in the United States, France, Mexico, India, China, and Argentina. A rigorous quality management process is followed at each factory to ensure consistent product quality. We verify engine and drivetrain performance in our own products first, before making it available to thousands of OEM applications around the world.

Leading gen-set manufacturers also trust John Deere PowerTech generator drive engines to provide prime and standby power for a wide variety of critical applications. We offer more than 250 configurations of generator drive engines from 31 to 563 kW (42 to 755 hp) to meet emissions regulations and power nodes for the global market.
