Since 1923, we develop, design and manufacture gearboxes and mechanical elements, primarily custom-built. Our success is based on wide and wellfounded knowledge, practical know how, above-average commitment – and a lot of experience.

AKIM cycloid drives are unique since 1923 and are still unsurpassed where drive technology is concerned.

The AKIM drive is superior to traditional gear mechanisms, since it only operates with rolling force and is not exposed to shear forces. By comparison with gears with contact loads, AKIM cycloid drives are more resistant and can absorb extreme shock loads by means of uniform load distribution over the power transmitting components. AKIM cycloid drives are characterized by their highest reliability, long service life and outstanding efficiency, even under difficult conditions.

We build standard cycloid gearboxes and develop customized cycloid gears according to your requirements

We utilize four construction principles:
• All of our gearboxes are symmetrical, compact and coaxial.
• All of our gearboxes allow for a high ratio into the smallest space.
• All of our gearboxes have lifetime lubrication and are therefore maintenance free.
• All of our standard gearboxes are built with a modular system.
