Thorlabs offers both air and oil-immersion designs of Olympus and Nikon visible imaging objectives. Plan achromat and plan fluorite (also called plan semi-apochromat or plan fluor) objectives are available. For more details about the differences between these types of objectives, please see the Objective Tutorial tab above.
The infinity-corrected objectives have elements with an ultra-wide broadband AR coating. They are compatible with many of the microscopy and fiber coupling accessories offered by Thorlabs. All of the Olympus objectives on this page have RMS (0.800"-36) threading, while the Nikon objectives have M25 x 0.75 threading.
These microscope objectives should be used in applications like traditional microscopy, confocal imaging, and fiber coupling. When choosing a microscope objective, it is important to keep in mind that objectives are often designed to integrate with a particular manufacturer's microscopes and are not necessarily interchangeable due to tube length differences and variations in thread pitch or diameter.
