Overview of PTS40 Antenna Positioners
PTS40 series are the most compact and powerful model among our positioners. They have a satisfactory speed range which complies with several applications. This series is generally preferred to be used as antenna positioners, but it is also suitable to carry a wide variety of electro-optical devices.
Mainly, PTS40 Series are two-axis, units that can operate for positioning heavier antennas. A PTS40 positioner can withstand dynamic loads resulting from wind action, additionally static forces due to payloads. It can deliver maximum torque of 414 Nm at a speed of 13,5 deg/sec. In other words, these positioners can rotate an unbalanced payload (top-mount, assuming the mass center is on the top surface of the tilt table) with a mass of 258 kg. Please, note that we provide this speed data in “loaded” condition to give an idea about our torque and speed characteristics.
Our PTS40 Series have positioning accuracy and repeatability within the range of ±0,02 degrees, and this feature makes them useful in long-distance positioning. They satisfy Military Grade Standards MIL-STD-810F Tests like operating and storage temperature, humidity, vibration, shock, rain, and icing & freezing for validation in working in harsh environments.
