The MLX80001 four-channel LIN master transceiver is a four-channel physical layer device designed for use with applications that utilize low-speed vehicle serial data network communication through use of the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) protocol.

This unit's design is in compliance with the physical layer definition set by the LIN Protocol Specification Package 2.x in addition to the SAE J2602 standard. The IC can also be used in ISO9141 systems and is compliant with the LIN Specification Version 1.3, 2.x and J2602.

The MLX80001 has a very low current consumption and as a result, when in the recessive state, can be used with ECU applications that feature hard standby current requirements. The advanced sleep mode of the MLX80001 permits a complete master node shutdown.
