TH8065 is a System Basis IC (SBC) suitable for LIN slave applications. The product consists of a low drop voltage regulator of 5V/70 mA, along with a LIN Bus transceiver and a watchdog. The transceiver is suitable for LIN-Bus systems in conformity to the Rev 1.2 LIN-Protocol specification.

The network is also able to operate in either the normal data rate mode or a high-speed data download mode, suitable for assembly lines and service data transfer operations. The high-speed mode is only intended for assembly line as well as data transfer operational usage, especially in situations when the bus is attached to an off-board service node. The node is responsible for providing temporary bus electrical loads, facilitating higher speed operation. Finally, the temporary loads should be removed without performing download operations.
