Function and application
The CMSX is a digital electropneumaticpositioner that enables simple andefficient control of the position ofprocess valves actuated by pneumaticactuators. This robust and compactpositioner can be mounted onactuators using a mechanical interfacein accordance with VDE/VDI 3845-1(IEC 60534-6-2). There are productvariants for single or double-actingactuators, different flow rates andsafety settings (fail-safe, fail in place).In addition, there are product variantsfor connecting external displacement/angular sensors to remotely control theposition of process valves.Commissioning is simple and robustthanks to an automated initialisationfunction. For setpoint specification0/4 … 20 mA current signals or0 … 10 V voltage signal are used, andfor analogue position feedback a4 … 20 mA current signal is used.
