This compact electric cylinder is particularly suitable for direct use in numerous cases, as opposed to using hydraulic cylinders. The torque motor has a shaft in the form of a screw at the output end and can directly drive the nut. The result is a low mass moment of inertia which provides the optimum amount of dynamic behaviour.

The cylinder is ideal for applications with high dynamics (where acceleration up to 26.5m/s2 is possible). The power transmission through the output rod provides a low moment of inertia. It benefits from high control quality for fast positioning, and exceptionally short cycle times are given. An incorporated locking design gives smart designs. A limit switch can be mounted directly onto the cylinder. The SERAC XH can be supplied with an optional holding brake.
