The Walther Flender electric motors in ATEX design conform to Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) and are used to avoid explosion hazards. The explosion-proof design of our electric motors means that they can be used safely in the chemical and petrochemical industries, gas plants and gas supply companies, filling stations, coking plants, mills, sewage treatment plants, in oil and natural gas extraction, in the wood industry and in almost all industrial areas that are at risk of explosion.
An optimum gearbox motor selection can never be made across the board; it must be based on the individual requirements of the application in question. If a specific gearbox motor is selected, the efficiency of the entire drive train is improved.
