It transmits incremental signals (HTL or TTL) and/or absolute values (SSI). These high-performance FOC modules always prove their value as powerful team players when high frequencies are demanded of the SSI encoder to ensure reliable and robust drive control, for example, motor commutation in mining or steel industry applications, even at clock frequencies >2 MHz. All data is transmitted along one fiber optic cable, whose performance is monitored continuously by means of integrated cable break and status monitoring.
