10A-RS232 -- Controller/Driver, 10 amps, w/RS232
Controller/Driver rated 10 amps, with built-in RS232, for unipolar stepper motors
Controller/driver only (without motors) with built-in RS232 serial interface. No other RS232 adaptor needed.
This Controller is replaced by the newer Au Controllers, this Controller is intended only for replacements. Unit comes with a 5 pin header for connecting to a unipolar stepper motor that has a 5 pin Molex or Amp .100" pitch housing. Select this controller to drive unipolar stepper motors that are size 23 (57mm) or smaller. The 10A-RS232 can drive up to 10 amps burst, 3 normally. These controllers are microminiature and exceptionally small.
For Controller drawing and details, see 3.45_Controller_Manual.pdf for DB15 type Controllers, in the Documentation link on home page lower left for and details. This 10A-RS232 has a different pinout than the DB15 Controller, otherwise all commands are the same. These controllers run "right out of the box" by typing a 'w' then 'G'. Each Excitron controller includes all the electronics and drivers for running the stepper motor. There are no separate electronic boxes and no messy cables. Included here is a full range of details of our motor/controller family.
You easily control how your stepper motor operates in these modes:
Serial Command Mode: send and receive via RS232,.Connection with PCs, PLCs or Labview work well.
Standalone Motion Profile Mode: repeatedly run a sequence of motion profiles, exactly as you wish, upon powerup. In this case, your computer is not needed. You can use inputs to control how and when these profiles run.
