The FZB Bistable Brake can remain in braking or unbraking position without consuming power from an external source, all that is needed is a direct current pulse with a duration of the order of 100 milliseconds.



The FZB Bistable Brake is a brake specially designed for situations where energy saving is sought. The fact of not consuming energy, except when switching pulses occur, makes the energy consumed and the heat dissipated much less than in any other electromagnetic brake.
